San Luis Obispo Newborn Session | The Dundon Family
This little San Luis Obispo newborn and family session was so fun to photograph. This family is too cute not to share!
Since opening my newborn studio in Los Osos, I changed my newborn packages up a bit.
I offer three different kinds of sessions. The first one is a newborn studio session; the second is a newborn studio session with family portraits in the studio as well.
The third package (and my favorite) is somewhat of a hybrid. The third package includes a newborn studio session within the first two weeks, as well as an in-studio or in-home family session sometime within the next six weeks.
This option allows mom to recover a bit. It also helps let families get settled into more of a routine before we do the full family photos.
When talking to Kayla, she loved the idea of the family session being held a few weeks later. She said it took a little pressure off of her to look a certain way within the first two weeks, and it allowed her to feel more comfortable doing the images at their home. She was able to settle into somewhat of a routine (I mean… newborns don’t have routines, but you know what I mean), and felt much more comfortable and ready for the photos when the time came for the in-home session. We did Lucas’ newborn photos in the studio when he was eight days old. We did the family portrait session three weeks later in their home in San Luis Obispo.
I first met Kayla when I took her Barre class at Spark Yoga in San Luis Obispo. If you are looking for a great place to workout/do yoga, Spark is amazing. They have so many different varieties of classes and the teachers are lovely! Kayla’s barre class is amazing and I’m always stoked when I get to take her class!
