This Perfumo Canyon, SLO Engagement session with Aly and Noah was a dream.
There are so many beautiful places to take photos in SLO county. However, Perfumo is one of my favorite overlooks.
It’s a long winding road to get there, but the views on a clear day are hard to beat. I usually meet my clients at the end of the residential street, so they can follow me up the hill without getting lost.
Aly and Noah were so fun to work with. They were so adorable together, and we were able to get some shots that highlighted how much they enjoy being around one another.
We had first scheduled to do their session in Los Osos, but the weather had other plans. A dense fog had settled over Los Osos, making it look gloomy and dark. I always watch the weather closely the day before and day of a session, and check surf cams often at beach locations to see what the weather is doing in real time. I send my clients an in depth engagement guide with many different location suggestions. About two hours before this session, we made the decision to change to this location.
I’m so glad we did, because the sun was perfect overlooking SLO.

I was so sad to hear that Aly and Noah were getting married on a date I was already booked. However, my wonderful friend Jessica Sofranko is going to shoot their wedding, so they will be in great hands!
