This talented bride did almost all the decorations herself for this sunny, autumn, 1800 El Pomar wedding day, even the florals!
This was my first 1800 El pomar wedding as this is a relatively new venue, and I loved it! It is a beautiful space with many rustic touches. It was hard to believe that this bride did all her own florals. Her autumn inspired bouquet was absolutely gorgeous.
An intimate celebration was important to this bride and groom and prioritizing time with their guests was at the forefront of their planning for their 1800 El Pomar wedding.
This is a common theme with many of my favorite clients. My ideal client values photography, and their priority is spending time with their favorite people while being present for the celebration. We were able to complete most of their photography before the ceremony. (With the exception of a large extended family photo and sunset portraits of the two of them). Doing a first look allowed for them to have more time together and with their wedding party. They didn’t hide from each other before the wedding, which allowed us to do almost all the formal portraits beforehand. Long family style tables, made for a more intimate setting in a larger group.
Their approach to this 1800 El Pomar rustic wedding was DIY, without compromising on beautiful aesthetic!
The bride did all her florals as well as the signage and many of the other decorations as well. Good food was important to this bride and groom and they were able to provide a variety of just that for their guests. They had two food trucks, one with Taqueria 805 and one with Lucca Truck Pizza. I’ve been to literally hundreds of weddings at this point in my career, and these two categories are my favorite for wedding food! They had Bottles and Ice make specialized, his and her custom cocktails Just Baked Desserts, and The Harmony Creamery truck for hand scooped ice cream later in the evening. All about events and Slo Party rentals provided them with the perfect rentals.
The bride LOVES cows, and specifically mentioned wanting photos with them. At sunset, we made it a mission to find them, and thankfully they were up close to the fence next to a beautiful tree. This venue has so many beautiful places for photos including a barn, grassy fields, beautiful Oak trees and a garden. El Pomar is tucked away in Templeton, and provides a feeling of intimacy and escape. I even caught The Shawn Clark Family band on a break looking ready for an album cover while on their break at the venue.
