The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for this Pismo Beach Maternity session with Kristin and Mark.
We are so spoiled to have so many gorgeous locations to photograph here in SLO county. I usually shoot at Avila beach, in South County, but this spot stole my heart. For most beach locations on the Central Coast, the best time to do photos is at sunset. The sun sets over the water and you get that gorgeous golden hour look. This evening was no exception. I love beaches that have rocks or structures that make the horizon more interesting. The rocks add so much dimension to the photo. Especially at sunset when the sky may not always be as detailed.
Kristin and mark did such a great job and were smiling and laughing so much throughout their session. They even brought their little dog who was super sassy and excited about the beach. I always love including your furry friends in your session. Kristina and Mark brought one of their friends along to help wrangle their pup so we could get photos without her as well once she was over it.
Dogs are welcome at photo sessions (if the location allows it), but I highly recommend bringing a friend. That way your furry friend doesn’t become a distraction and take away from the session experience. It’s so fun to bring the dog in for a few and then know your friend is right there to play with the dog off screen until we need them again.
