Engagement sessions are a great opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to get comfortable in front of the camera.

When the wedding day comes around, we will have already worked together, and you'll know all my posing/directing tips and tricks!

I know that having your photo taken can feel awkward, but it doesn't have to be! The sessions are laid back, and we keep it light and fun. I will give you pointers and direction during the session and take all the guesswork out of it for you. We can even bring along your favorite drinks, play some of your favorite music, you name it! I often have couples who were nervous about their engagement session, tell me they had so much fun.

You are welcome to choose a location that speaks to you in a personal way or let me recommend a few of my favorite spots here on the Central Coast.

Why do I need an engagement session?

-Nicole and brett

"...My husband isn't the "pose-y" type, and I was worried he'd look stiff in our engagement photos. Tayler helped him break out of his shell and made us both feel so relaxed.
We've had so many compliments on how breathtaking our engagement and wedding photos were from our friends and family..."

-Kelly and Chad

"...We were very nervous for the engagement session and that ended up being so much fun!
Our wedding photographs turned out absolutely stunning as well!!
She is so fun and easy to work with..."

- Gabriella and Derryk

I like to work with you to find a location that best fits you.

We have so many beautiful places on the Central Coast.

We have anything from a variety of beaches, trees, fields, city, etc.

If you have a particular city or place that is important to you, I would love to work that in as well.

Once we confirm your date, I will send you some suggestions for some of my favorite places in the area, and go from there!

My biggest suggestion for clothing is to wear something you feel good in.

I tell my clients to coordinate with their partner with colors that complement each other but aren't necessarily "matching" each other perfectly. This makes for a more timeless look.

Neutral, earth, or jewel-tone clothing makes for a natural and timeless look that suits outdoor photos well.

In most situations, I would suggest refraining from wearing any clothing with wording, logos, neon colors, or distracting patterns.
